I am in love with:

-leggings. Plain and simple, they are the best form of pants ever. (Fun fact: when I was little, I called them leg-ins. Still haven't kicked the habit)
-my new shower-head! In all the years I've lived in this house (almost nine) I have never had a shower as good as the one I took last night. The water actually stayed warm for longer than 5 minutes, and I am so happy about that!
-the fact that Elder Thornton gets home from his mission this week! Samuel and I have been the greatest of friends for sooo many years, and I cannot wait for his return!!

-the Les Miserables soundtrack! Absolutely wonderful.
-memories, because as much as they might hurt, it's still nice to think back and remember those happy times.

on a lovely friday afternoon

I do not want to do homework.

I do want to be outside getting tan (I noticed that I am extremely white....)

I do want to go back to the Football Practice Facility.

I spent two hours today hanging out with coaches Tim Davis, Morgan Scalley, and Brian Johnson (and others) while typing up some stuff for Coach Davis. Oh and I watched Norm Chow walk past the office a couple times, and I think Brian Johnson thinks I'm a creeper because every time he walked past I happened to be looking out the door...right at him...oops. But I loved it anyway!! Ah it was so great just being there and getting pumped up for the season (which unfortunately doesn't start until September...Spring Game, here I come!)!

In short, I love this weather, I love the football coaches, I love football, and I love my Utes!!!!

my journey

You all know that I am a member of the fabulous organization, Lambda Delta Sigma.  This week was our Sisterhood Week, and tonight we had a fireside. The speaker was the lovely Emily Freeman, who has written a few Gospel-related books that are fantastic!
I don't know what it was, but it was EXACTLY what I needed to hear.  Everything she said just resinated with me and hit me deep down.  I was so stunned by the overwhelming spirit that I felt at that fireside—my heart is too full to put it into words right now.
Anyway, as a sisterhood we are embarking together on a journey—21 Days Closer to Christ, based off of this book that Emily Freeman wrote.

I cannot wait to begin today and to start my journey!  This is something I desperately need right now, since I seem to be living in a place I like to call "my confusion cloud."  So taking time out of my day to really sit down and delve into my own spiritual closeness with my Savior...ahhh...cannot wait!  Isn't it just lovely how He knows exactly what you need at just the right time?!

weekend

Usually my weekends are so boring and lame that I would have nothing to talk about.  But...this weekend I was up so late every night, and lacking on sleep terribly, that I slept until 11:45 this morning.  I have NEVER slept in that late ever in my life!

Friday I went to lunch with a dear old friend, Alexa.  We have known each other practically since day one, but started losing touch when she moved to Bountiful in elementary school.  She now goes to BYU (I don't hold that against her) and was up in SLC for the day, so we met up at The Dodo, caught up on life and ate some very delicious food.  (FYI—the caramel coffee cake is now my favorite dessert I think)

Then I got my hair cut—don't worry, it's just a trim, more layers, and getting my side bangs back since they had grown down to my chin.  I forgot how much I love getting my hair cut!

After that I went to the Phieata (I have no idea how to spell that).  It's a date night one of the frats at the institute does every year, and we ate fajitas and played a game and chatted.  Fun night for sure.


Saturday I spent 5 hours in lotion land (aka BBW) and...it was slow and boring but I got through it because I had the night to look forward to!
After that I went and picked up my friend Mike for Lambda Delta Sigma spring date night at the Jazz game!!  And guess what?? The Jazz won!!!!!  Plus, I got to go down onto the court and high-five all the players (well, almost all of them...) and it was great!  We went to one of our adviser's homes after and ate yummy treats and played fun games!

Overall, I had a fantastic weekend!
I think next weekend will consist of seeing this movie. (I know it says it comes out in July, but it actually came out on Friday!)

I am an unhealthy person

What I ate today:

-two eggos

-two mini bags of cheez-its

-one mini bag of fudge shoppe cookies

-a little bag of sour cream and cheddar ruffles chips

-a sleeve of starburts

-very greasy re-heated taco meat

Am I slowly (or possibly quickly) killing myself? Yes. Please don't judge my eating habits, I am a poor college student, and I hate packing a lunch for school. I don't have time for that...so I just don't do it. Oopsy?
If anyone has healthy lunch ideas for school (plus a workout regimen that I can easily stick to, because I am terrible at it) I would love to hear it!  Otherwise I'm going to get fat, and then I'll be sad.

On a lighter note, the weather today was fabulous!  I want it to continue to be warm and beautiful.  A guy in my institute class informed me that it's supposed to snow again sometime this week and I almost threw my hymnbook at his head!  No more snow!!  I just want it to be spring!

Oh dearest spring, please come quickly!!!
