longest day ever

Good news, folks!

I survived the longest day ever.

Last Saturday was one of the busiest days of my life.

I was up at 5:30 a.m. to get everything set for the Lambda Delta Sigma

kickball tournament (that I was in charge of) that morning.

I arrived at Sugarhouse Park, hosted a fantastic 

tournament, and then had a meeting with IC.

After the meeting I rushed straight off to J's bridal shower,

pretty sure it was so much fun to catch up with all my

Beta girls, and to wish J well.

After that I ran home for one minute,

threw on my Muss shirt and dashed over to the tailgate party.

Go Utes!

I'm liking this 4-0 business.

At halftime I left the game to go see "Lion King"

with my family.  Which was incredible!

I love Broadway shows!

So there, longest day ever.

Pretty sure this was the best part of my weekend though.

Just sayin'.

I'm exhausted

sooo tired.

I just want to spend a day doing absolutely nothing.

being unproductive,

lying around.

watching movies, cuddling.

I want a day where I don't have anything that needs to get done.

A day I can spend recuperating.

it would also be nice if Tyler had that day, too.

that way we could spend it together.

I really, really want to clean my room!

but, I don't have time.

dang it.

it's messy and needs a good, deep clean.

mostly to clear out all the fuzzy creepers called spiders...

but also because it is hideously messy,

and it's driving me nuts!  too bad I have

no time

to clean it this week....

I am very very lucky to have him in my life.

...listened to a talk given by a General Authority

(or anyone for that matter) 

and felt like they were speaking directly at you?

Like the talk they wrote was specifically to target 

exactly what you are thinking about, and trying to figure out?

Have you ever ever felt like that?

I felt like that. Tonight, actually.

It was the most amazing feeling, sitting in my little chair at the

institute and thinking to myself "He prepared this talk for me!"

It was exactly what I needed to hear - so helpful,

so perfect.

It was an amazing thing, and am so glad I went to that fireside.

His talk was full of answers to many questions.

And I am so happy that I listened.

It was just what I needed.

summer mode

I think I'm still in summer mode.

Why?

Because I refuse to do homework...

...until the night before it's due.

 

MAJOR PROCRASTINATION here people.

Also, all I want to do is hang out with Tyler all the time

(can you blame me? Didn't think so)

but seeing as school (yes, Kristin, school is in

session - it's the 3rd week to be precise) and other

things have kept both of us so busy, it's hard to see each other every day

like we did in the summer.

But, I see him lots still, and it's wonderful.

So....I have a paper and 5 exercises due tomorrow.

Ask me if I've started them.

Tee hee.

Yes, I'm a junior in college.

It's okay, I'll get them done before they are due. 

I always do.  I have this problem - I can't go to class unprepared.

I just can't.  So even if I'm up late scribbling

answers on my homework, or cranking out a paper in 

less than 20 minutes, I'll get it done.

I'm always afraid I'll forget to do something and then feel 

like an idiot in class when everyone is turning something in and I'm not.

Speaking of which, I suppose I should go check to see if

there is any reading due in International Comm tomorrow.

I didn't read last time and felt like an idiot in class

when everyone was discussing and I sat there all confused.

 

So...here's to hoping I get it in my head soon that school is actually happening right now!
