adorable website!

I'm almost positive I've blogged about this website before because I love it so much! But, it's called Letters to Crushes and it's soo cute! I seriously check it every day to see what people have written to the people they love.

New favorite (possibly because it's currently relevant to my life?)

"I think I really, really like you.

I know! It surprised me too."

I know, cheesy right?  But I'm obsessed! You should probably check it out.

ps: my cat is snoring.  hehe

stresssssssssssssssssssss

I have been extremely

stressed

for a few weeks.  And let me tell you, being stressed has not done good things for me.  I'm pretty sure I've gained some un-needed weight, my face looks like a 12 year-old's (meaning I've been breaking out way bad), and I've been very distracted from a lot of important things recently.  Not to mention my job is only giving me about 4 hours a week - meaning I am only making about $20 a week.  And when you're trying to buy a car, $20 a week is NOT enough.

at all.

So....I've been stressed.  Work isn't enough, school is hard, and other things are weighing heavily on my mind and it's been hard.

But today, after a long, prayerful couple weeks, I think I finally figured out what I need to do.

be patient

everything will happen when it's supposed to, the way it's supposed to and there's no sense worrying myself sick over things.  So, I just need to be patient and wait for things to happen the way they are supposed to.

This is something I don't think I'm very good at....but I'm going to try to work on it because I know that it is the answer to my prayers of late.  And evidently I need some patience in my life.

service

I've been thinking a lot lately about how I really want to do a humanitarian trip of some sort.  I've heard about people's experiences who have been fortunate enough to have the chance to go and it makes me want to go soooo badly!  My sister gets to go to Peru for 2 weeks this summer, live in a tree house, and serve the people in the Amazon jungle in Peru.  How jealous am I?

very

So, inspired by my wonderful friend Megan (see her blog here) I have been seriously considering spending 2 and a half months of my life in summer 2011 in Ecuador serving the children in an orphanage.  I've heard amazing things about this program and now all I can think about is getting the chance to go there myself.  I don't even want to wait until 2011 to go....but I don't have a choice. I've got so much already planned for this summer, and my parents would never let me opt out on a semester of school to go there. So, my only option is to go that summer.  Which would be so incredible! I don't speak a word of Spanish (okay I know how to say hello and thank you...), but I can only imagine the amazing experience this could be for me!  So, here's to me going to Ecuador in Summer '11!

I wonder...

Sometimes

I wonder

if there is a reason

you can't stop

thinking
about

someone...

"gichyour own!"

This is probably the funniest commercial ever.  Honestly, I'm pretty sure you will love it.
(this is in no way an advertisement for Subway since I rarely eat there.  I'm just saying it's a clever commercial)

Also, pretty sure I hate studying and have not been productive at all this week.  I should probably change that...

bonjour fighting frogs. here's your daily drought reminder.

Good movie.  Good good movie.   I discovered my mother and baby sister watching this show the other day, had to sit down and join them because it's soo good. If you don't know what movie I'm talking about, you are seriously deprived.

There was an old man sitting next to me, well not next to me, but near me, on a bench just now who kept clearing his throat...pretty sure he had way more stuff in there than I needed to hear. So I had to move because that was a little too disgusting for me. I have weird pet peeves like that.
For example, I hate it when people chew too loudly.  Seriously, it's not that hard to chew quietly. Figure it out.  My family is pro at chewing too loudly and it bugs.  Don't chew loud when you're around me - I'll either yell at you or get up and leave.  Sad, but true.  Another thing --- is it sooo hard to breathe that you must breathe loud enough for me to hear across the room?????  Because really, breathing quietly is easy I feel like.  Don't breathe loud! (another thing my family is pro at.  They all breathe soo loud, and there are days when I can tolerate it, and days when I just want to shoot them because it's like they are some 747 jet airplane they are breathing so loudly! ugh)

Who's excited to do inventory at work tonight???? Not me.

I also have a test in my bowling class today. I know, a test in bowling? You're probably wondering what on earth I'll get tested on.  Well...in bowling the pins are numbered.  Did you know that? Now you do.  Also, I must know how to score manually, what the handicap score does, what a wash-out and a split are, and many other pointless things that I am NEVER going to remember when I go bowling in the future.  But....it's required to pass the class.....so I have to know what all those things are.  And, trust me, I do.  If you don't know what they are, feel free to ask me.  I'm a bowling nerd now.

I also decided that the space between the bathroom stall wall and the bathroom door (which is at least an inch in most bathrooms, if not more) is extremely awkward!  I'm sure you can guess why.

Currently I am stressed out.  About a lot of things.  School, Beta, dating....just to name a few.  I'm not going to elaborate for the sake of people who probably don't, but may possibly, read this blog.  Plus, a lot of the stuff is extremely personal and I would rather not share.  I'm just really stressed and I haven't quite figure out how to fix my stress.  Ugh.

I would rather be in Powell

Pretty sure that every day I think this phrase:

I would rather be in Powell.

Why?  Because Lake Powell is heaven on earth.  I went for my first time last October and I fell in love.  I've never had a more amazing time anywhere in my life!  Which is crazy considering it's only 6 or so hours from where I live.  But, it's an incredible place, and I want to go there so badly right now.  Except I'd freeze.  So, I'm hoping I'll be able to go at least once this summer, if not more than once!  I love Lake Powell!
