first week of school

from the first week, I have determined:

~I miss Beta dearly!
~But being on IC is more incredible than I can describe! I love it sooo much!
~LNCO isn't such a terrible maze if you know where your classrooms are.
~the only way to get from the Institute building to AEB on President's
Circle in less than 15 minutes is to speed walk...
and look absolutely ridiculous while doing so.
~spending 27+ hours on campus in just 2 days is
actually possible.
~I am lucky to have him in my life.  He is wonderful and
I wonder every day what I did to deserve him.

lost in comm land

I love to people watch on campus.
You may call me a creeper....but everyone does it.
It's soo easy.

Especially on the first day of school when you get out of class over
an hour early and must sit around for awhile before
your next class starts.  That happened to me today.

I just wish the bench I am sitting on currently had a back rest.
Oh well.

Also, I dislike strongly that the building my major is in happens
to be a maze.  I got lost in LNCO today.  Twice.
The joke going around (rumor...joke...gossip, whatever)
is that LNCO was designed by a BYU graduate who wanted to give
U students a hard time.
If this is true, that Y graduate is a horrific architect.
LNCO is a windy twisty maze with numbers that don't make sense,
and I hate it.
So maybe this guy's goal was achieved.....
Anyway, whatever the case, I hate it.
Don't worry, I googled a map of LNCO today in an attempt
to find my classroom without looking like a deer in headlights
staring at the numbers and freezing in my tracks
when they all of a sudden end.
I couldn't find a map.
So I got lost.
Twice.

I love school. Woohoo.

also: he is finally home!  Saturday night was wonderful! :)

an exception to the rules

I know that I have made a rule:
NO BLOGGING ABOUT PERSONAL STUFF
(aka boys)
well, in this case: BOY.
And, also in this case, I am making an exception.
Can't wait for him to come home!
Missing him soo much.

"I don't get many things right the first time. In fact, I am told that a lot. Now I know all the wrong turns, the stumbles and falls brought me here. And where was I before the day that I first saw your lovely face? Now I see it everyday. And I know that I am, I am, I am the luckiest. What if I'd been born fifty years before you, in a house on a street where you lived? Maybe I'd be outside as you passed on your bike; would I know? And in a white sea of eyes I see one pair that I recognize. And I know that I am, I am, I am the luckiest. I love you more than I have ever found a way to say to you. Next door there's an old man who lived to his nineties, and one day passed away in his sleep. And his wife; she stayed for a couple of days, and passed away. I'm sorry, I know that's a strange way to tell you that I know we belong. That I know that I am, I am, I am the luckiest."

question of the day

Here's my question:
Why is chocolate sooo much better when
you're on your period?
 Legit question here, friends.
Sorry for the "too much info"
for some of you - but it had to be asked.
I'm curious!
I rarely, if ever, eat chocolate.
But, I find myself consuming more of it (though not to any point
of ridiculousness that many of you may assume occurs,
don't worry, I can control my cocoa intake) during
that time of the month than at any other time.
So I'm wondering why this is so.
Thoughts??

ps: I've also decided glow-in-the-dark nail polish is the coolest thing ever!
I never paint my nails...but this is rad!  You should try it!

it's better black

After a little contemplation, I decided I like my blog better black.
Nothing against the white background,
I just think mine looks better with a black background.
So there.

Anyone have any advice on how to
not think too much?
(pretty sure no one actually reads this
blog, but I thought I'd ask
anyway...)

I freaking love my life.
It's soo good.
Don't take my thinking too much seriously.
If you know me, you know that I
overthink all the time, and that
it might not necessarily be a bad thing that I'm overthinking
about.  I could just have lots of thoughts.
And I'm so busy these days,
I have millions of thoughts.
And not much time to think them,
so when I have any down time, they drown me.
